Partners in International Education - the 2011 PIE Awards
On November 15, 2011, as part of the 12th annual International Education Week, the International Center honored six members of UC San Diego faculty and staff for their valuable contributions to international education. ISO's honorees, Sam Chin and Georgette M. Handal, both of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, received Partners in International Education awards for their outstanding support working with ISO in bringing over numerous international scholars to the UC San Diego community.

The Partners in International Education awards are given out annually to colleagues from across campus who make significant contributions to the internationalization of the University. With their collaboration, the International Center is able to further develop programs and services for international students and scholars and US students going abroad. We are very appreciative of the contributions of these award winners and all ofour partners across campus and in the community!
